Training Policies & FAQs

Training FAQ’s

  • Do you have to be a member to attend a ZERT Class?

No. We welcome everyone and training is a perfect way to introduce new people to ZERT

  •  Are there age requirements for ZERT classes?

That depends on the class, students under 18* must be supervised by a VILIGANT guardian. * Exceptions may apply.

  •  What are the round counts and necessary gear needed?

Every training event is posted on ZERT Nation.com complete with all of the necessary equipment and ammo requirements.

  •  Can I host ZERT training on my property?

While we envy the opportunity to shoot in your backyard, we require every location be licensed and insured as a range. If for some reason an accident were to happen on YOUR personal property YOU are responsible & YOU may be sued. Not only will YOU have to deal with police and the investigation but YOU will also have to potentially pay all of the medical bills associated with the accident not to mention if someone were to die in an accident YOU may be charged/have increased financial burden.

  • I/My buddies has XXX years as a XXX instructor; can I set up ZERT training?

No. See example above, just don’t do it. The risks are too high.

  •  How can I become a ZERT Instructor?

New ZERT Instructors are personally vetted and qualified by ZP002. A personal recommendation from current ZERT Instructor is the preferred method of introduction.

ZERT Training Policies

We strive to offer unique training opportunities with high-level instructors at very reasonable prices. Class fees are based upon range fees, travel costs, insurance costs and instructor fees. We schedule instructors and ranges based on the number of confirmed participants. We understand that there are times when life happens and you may need to make a change to a reservation, but please don’t sign up if you are unsure about your ability to make it.

Here are some of the most common questions we receive regarding training changes and refunds:

  • How do I get a refund on a class I cannot attend?

Refund requests are honored at 100% if ZERT receives confirmed notification within 6 weeks prior to the class date. (unless specified otherwise on the event)

  • What if I am less than 6 weeks out?

Less than 6 weeks there are no refunds.

  • Can I transfer my class reservation to another person?

Yes. Just contact HQ at info@zertnation.com to update the roster.

  • Can I find a replacement by posting it on my Squadron/State Facebook page?

Yes. However payment must be made to ZERT by the replacement student and refunded by ZERT to the original participant. No $$ should change hands directly between members.

  • What if I cannot get to the range due to bad weather/act of God?

As we book ranges based on the total number of confirmed students we cannot offer refunds due to bad weather/Acts of God. We endeavor to reschedule classes where bad weather may cause any interruptions.

  • What if I cannot make the rescheduled date of my class?

Contact HQ ASAP, once the new date is announced and confirmed. You have 30 days prior to the new date before the new roster will be confirmed and no refunds will be given.
